Standing on the shore of Lonesome Lake, I was alone in the predawn darkness. The light and color slowly signaled the coming day and etched definition into the granite spires of the "Cirque" looming overhead. Shadows of wild trout glided past in the shallows. My only thoughts were, this is where I want to be.
